    Not sure what’s changed but I randomly tried one more time this morning and it has activated for me! I turned iMessage off and back on. And about 2mins later it activated.

    I am not on the beta but on the latest normal version. I tried this and I can send normal txt messages no problem. But cannot activate iMessage. That fails. My number is listed in the “name, phone numbers...etc”

    Interesting maybe that is the issue and they don’t know how to fix it yet. I phoned apple last night and the guy I spoke to had come across the issue and said almost immediately that it was a carrier issue. Waiting for the recording of the call and then will check in with Vodacom again

    I have contacted Vodacom so many times now. Keep linking to this forum too but have had no helpful feedback from them.

    Wow interesting as the support person I'm talking to at Vodacom has no idea about the issue and told me to only select the phone number and deselect the email addresses - I could laugh if it wasn't so annoying!

    yeah Vodacom on Twitter keeps saying reach out to apple. No help at all.

    Wow Vodacom really has the worst service. Checked hello Peter and there are a number of reports about this issue as well. Seems they just don’t care. Will need a couple hundred people to all phone in at the same time
