Most have been answered, but here goes...
You can set up the TP-Link DECO APs as either "Access Point" mode to keep on using your existing router or on "Router" mode to replace your current router
E4 and M4 are very similar, but M4 has gigabit LAN ports.
The M5 has better 802.11ac WiFi for...
TP Link Deco's work well and are good value for money.
M9 have dedicated backhaul/uplink radios for increased speed, but more expensive.
All models can do mesh/wireless uplink or use a cable where you are able to use a cable.
Hi
There's more than one Pelican Park. We have coverage at Pelican Park, Jet Park, Gauteng, South Africa.
You can check coverage at www.wiru.co.za/coverage
If you're taling about Pelican Park in Muizenberg, we unfortunately do not have coverage.
Good luck
Hi Victor
Thanks for using our Internet service.
For outdoor WiFi, we recommend 2.4GHz wireless as the lower frequency works better through trees&schrubs.
Check this out on takealot: TP-LINK Outdoor 2.4GHz 300Mbps High Power Wireless Access Point...
Do a link calc for 80GHz. It may work at that distance in good weather, but uptime will not be great. The Siklu EtherHaul 10Gbps radio is a much better option as it will allow more steps of demodulation in "bad" weather before it will disconnect. The lower modulation (slower) radios will...
Yes, we are opposition to them, but this really looks like a mistake. Can't imagine that being the attitude of anyone realising who pays the bills and salaries.
I would take it up with their Management to make sure what their stance is.
Good luck getting it resolved. :-)
It's pricey, but the TP-Link Deco M9 mesh system works great. It has a third radio (on 5GHz band) that is only used for the backbone of the mesh wireless. So channels and radios are not shared for backhaul and access.
The other option is to install a cable from the router to each AP and not...
Hi Nicky. We'd love to help. We offer up to 50Mbps uncapped unshaped wireless internet.
You can check coverage and order online at www.wiru.co.za/wireless or private message us your number for our friendly team to give you a call to answer any questions you may have.
Distance does not make a big difference with clear LOS. 6km with clear LOS is no problem.
Don't know the WISP, so can't comment there (not that another WISP should anyways).
Rather dive around your area to look for other homes/businesses with wireless radios on their roofs and ask them who...
Do a coverage request on https://wapa.org.za/coverage/home
WAPA Members will get your request and should respond if they have coverage.
Also spot the homes in the area with radios on the roof to ask them who they use and if they are happy with the service they're getting.
Hope you find a...
