    I hear you wingnut, I just wanted to point out that the AC 6 router covered more than sufficient area, but the AC 8, in contrast, looses signal when I move more than 4 or 5 meters away from the router. This does not seem right.

    Thanks for that... I did not think that far :) Kinda logical. Just a thought, though: (Sorry if it's a dumb question) Why would the router itself be capable of WiFi transfer rate of 300mbps on 2.4GHz and 867mbps on 5GHz if one can not get that speed INTO the router?
