I had openserve installed since their pricing on the lower tiers are better. After seeing how they ran the cable to the house I was already considering switching. Pricing confirms that I will now in fact switch.
I have to agree with all the others above me, only someone with experience in that area can help you. The agent will act in the best interest of the seller, and since commission is % based will try and milk you for the most. Your offer should be based on what you think the property is worth, not...
Finally registered. My timeline where alot of things went wrong:
05 Dec 20 - OTP signed - Second time viewing. Settled for 140% of municipal value & 85% of asking.
12 Jan 21 - Attorneys assigned. Not the ones stipulated in the OTP.
14 Jan 21 - Pro forma invoice recieved.
26 Jan 21 - Rates...
I was transferring ~R10k between my tymebank accounts and it disappeared. I called them and had it sorted out within the hour. If they wanted to steal money why would they apologise and rush to help me like they did?

I didn't say it was the same, was just commenting on the last bit of his message. I think the only way for a buyer to be responsible is if it was specified in the OTP, otherwise I think its always the sellers responsibility. Anyways, mine for reference
