Bought from them a few times now, haven’t had a bad experience yet. Had an issue with the magnet funnel where the magnets kept coming out, and he just landed up refunding me for it and apologised. Great service from Rolando.
Can handle opinions, but more constructive ones. Just berating someone for it is not the way to go. I’ll never say to any of you that you wrong, or that doesn’t make sense. If I don’t agree with you, then I will just ignore the post. I find forums to be places where it’s, I’m right, and you are...
Just because they the same price or slightly cheaper does not mean they making a loss. They just not making as much as they potentially make, but again, not my problem, that’s business. Pretty much 98% of stuff is cheaper in SA than it is on Amazon, that’s why I only buy from them like twice a...
Which Amazon are you using? I can’t remember which one it was, could have been the German one, but with express shipping to SA, it quoted like R1400, which is a pretty big difference in my opinion. If 2 weeks is a long time to wait for a coffee tamper……well then this is the last you’ll hear of...
I can definitely see the benefits, and that totally makes sense. It definitely look’s premium, that’s for sure! And I’m sure it’s great to use.
Still very happy with my tamper though, and the extra $150 or whatever the difference is in my bank account to spend on other coffee nonsense
By the way, forgot to post this this week, but if any of you are able to get this coffee in from France, you just have to! O my gosh! This was absolutely insane!! This is a coffee from Kawa Coffee, called Colombie - Nestor Lasso (Sidra). It’s a natural, and O my!
At first, when it was still...
Got you…thanks for the info, I didn’t actually know the exact difference between them. Kinda thought they did the same thing.
Still feel you hit diminishing returns once you go past spring tampers. So far I have found my shots to be very consistent…I mean they were kinda consistent before, but...
Interesting to hear your results on the Force Tamper. I got myself the Normcore Tamper, and I as well have it set to 25Ib, and interestingly I found it didn’t make a huge difference besides for consistent level pucks. So the only difference I have noticed is that the coffee comes out of the...
Had Wide Awake, based in Brussels, super freak coffee. It’s a red bourbon, anaerobic natural from Costa Rica. Overall it’s a nice coffee, but found it lacked in complexity. Was a delicate coffee with light acidity and tea like body. Got notes of Melon and white grape which came through quite nicely.
Finished this Stout Natural from Simplebru coffee this last week. Was an interesting coffee, but not one of my favourites. That experimental processing definitely comes through on pour overs.
I had a coffee at their one store in CPT, and it was very nice, so I would look at trying one of their...
It entirely depends on what I feel like on the day and time. Most of the time I will make a double cortardo, but when dialling in I will drink the espressos, and when dosing out the coffees for freezing, I’ll dose out out a few pour over doses. So yeah, I like to try the coffee with as many...
Another coffee I recently finished, Nicaragua by Cedar Coffee Roasters. It is a very delicate coffee, very light in flavour, low acidity, not a lot of body. Overall it was okay, not my favourite coffee. I think if you are someone who prefers dark roasts, this could be a nice introduction to...
My morning brew today….all I can say is mind blown! This Anaerobic by La Cabra is insane! Has a nice medium acidity, with a smooth body. Got these floral with like tropical fruit notes…wow, insane!
If you ever have the opportunity to get one of there coffees, go for it, you won’t be...
Mine drops a little more than 5, but that’s over the entire pour, so if I start at like 95, I’ll be a bit under 90 by the end. Not sure what kettle you using, but I’m using the Fellow Stagg Gas version, and I’ll put in more water than I need, that way it’s a bigger thermal mass, so will take a...
