David Mabuza resigns as SA deputy president

@TheChamp what's your opinion on the new guy?
Mashatile is an unknown entity, he is a cool guy and I will always respect him for telling Zuma to fokoff when the others were getting cold feet.

There's nothing much to say about him, he will just be a like Dabede until we get close to the ANC elective conference, then he might be dumped or go all to way to become the Boss.

For me he is too much of an ANC politician to be a good President, you need someone who is also able to appeal to those outside the party, Cyril, Kgalema, that kind of guy.

We still havent got rid of the twat in a hat so who knows what these clowns are up in the circus...

The reason Mabuza is DP is because it was his vote that swung the presidency for Ramaphosa instead of for NDZ. Memories are short with SA's 24 hour news cycle.
I thought its because the DP of the ANC is the DP of the country, same with the P of the ANC. The DP of the ANC is ex treasurer Paul Mashatile after their conference, so he will become DP of SA, as that's how the ANC has done it since 1994 afaik.

Dabede would have done it if he hadn't been poisoned :(

Now we're stuck with this lame duck until Paul ends it

And who poisoned Dabede? There's only two people with the motive, Ramaphosa and Mashatile. So now he's going to poison the very same people who were busy poisoning him.

He could be too sick to continue his role as DP, he also resigned as MP

I had a meeting right near his mega mansion earlier this morning. Sickening wealth on display there. My client mentioned R200 bar.

David Mabuza resigns as SA deputy president

South African deputy president David Mabuza resigned, clearing the way for Paul Mashatile, the new deputy leader of the governing African National Congress, to succeed him.

Speaking at family funeral in the northeastern Mpumalanga province, Mabuza said he had informed President Cyril Ramaphosa that he had resigned, and that he was making space for Mashatile. His remarks were broadcast on Cape Talk radio.
