Eskom needs price hikes and debt bailouts to survive: de Ruyter

We are part of the Commonwealth since 1994, now is a good time for a bailout if they don't want bloodshed on the street (that's what they don't want, right).

I have watched a documentary how the benefits of the CW are listed and it was mentioned how in various instances struggling members have been bailed out.
 
You don't need a bailout you need to clean out the grime and decay that has built up over the last three decades.

All you need to survive is to get rid of the non payers and scrap all the cadre/tenderpreneur BEE deals.
 
Maybe if it cant be a going concern then the monopoly should end and players that are able to run functional businesses can enter the market?
 
When I told my manager that the company should give me a salary increase and a bailout of my debt, he just fell into an uncontrollable fit of laughter...:sneaky:
 
Yes, we know. But then again, both the South African population and and SA government is bankrupt and cannot afford increases or bailouts. Maybe speak to SARS and find out who that 10% is that still contributes towards taxes and take more from them. Since South Africa did away with inequality we are all equally broke.

Who knows? Perhaps South Africa was never intended to have electricity. So, close down Eskom instead of trying to revive a dead horse.

The solar elites still have cash to burn. They better watch that grid connection levy.

Yeah, then Eskom needs to push to change laws and charge everyone with solar and generators a massive monthly connection fee, forced meters and charge them for the electricity they generate and use too. Electricity, whether it is generated by Eskom or anyone else, should belong to Eskom and everyone should pay up for the rights of using it.
