The Official FeBRAAIarie 2023 Thread!

I don't know. I enjoy this thread, It just puzzle me that gas braais are not allowed but all these cooking in pans and pots are considered a braai. Again I don't even own a gas braai, just an observation.
I've tried doing a potjie on the grid - everything ended up in the coals. My meat and potato pieces were too small.
A couple of carrot pieces survived the big as$ grid holes.

You need to make the fire hot enough so it floats above the flames and not fall through the grid

you braaing for the neihbourhood

let the wife cook

you braai

one piece per night

That's what happens anyway. I always braai a lot, then at least I know I has something to eat when I get home at night. But that's two to three braais a week. Braaing is thirsty work and that's where the problem lies. The wife have sent me 3 quotes for a new car for her this morning already! I just responded with "good luck"! :laugh: :laugh:
