Cool stuff. Hopefully spectators will be able to see when the launch this missile.
noice! can we get a video of this bad boy flying over our coast?
Who says it'll be hypersonic? At hypersonic speed?
Lol. They are going to fire a missile off their own boat towards open ocean.
Worst case scenario is they blow themselves up.
FTFYOr it goes in the wrong direction andlands ongoes through your house...
Ideally they will tow one of our navy wrecks out and let it get evaporated.
The Russians. This is apparently what they are testing. It’s what the thread is about,Who says it'll be hypersonic?
Probably going to be another "simulated" launch, and the SA Navy is going to "simulate" its existence.

Is the sonic boom the same at mach 1 vs mach 6?
Is the sonic boom the same at mach 1 vs mach 6?
There will always be only one as it breaks the sound barrier. No subsequent sonic booms after that.Is the sonic boom the same at mach 1 vs mach 6?
We tested our cactus and Hilda missiles at the Reccie camp at St Lucia. Fired them at the ocean. My question is why off the KZN coast when the missile test range with all the required test and recording equipment is situated on the Southern Cape coast at Overberg near Bredasdorp? NATO navies test their missiles there because of that.
Could this be a big PR exercise the Russians don't want recorded because they know the missile is not all it's hyped up to be?
Will the equipment be in a working condition? And I have to assume that they have made provision for unexpected loadsheddings?required test and recording equipment
Maybe the Chinese will bring along a balloon purchased off Wish.com. Apparently it took the americans 2 x $400K missiles to shoot down one floating balloon.I am more curious what they will be targeting, it is not like we have any uninhabited or derelict bodies. All the islands we have are protected. Launching a Zircon into the abyss will be… uhm, a waste.
Who knows, maybe the Chinese or Russians will be towing something along...
This remains a test exercise, pending on how well it is executed, so we won’t be in the middle anywhere other than them being in our waters under a bilateral agreement.
