Hi, Google has had some issues, can you update the ticket with an mtr to somewhere else as well? If you look at your trace you will see it clears on the one hop within Googles network. Then is present on the final hop again.

Will update it but I noticed the packet loss last night because I was playing CSGO with some friends and it was spiking to 20-30% so ran the test to 8.8.8.8

CSGO still hosted on Mwebs network?

The mtr provided shows very little loss even though on Googles network, but nothing near 20-30%

My suspicion would be Vuma Villages at that point more than anything else.

I’m not too sure if CSGO is still hosted on MWEBs network. But yeah it was spiking between 20-30% at times. Would disappear for a couple of seconds and then immediately come back. Started around last week Wednesday or Thursday.

And the disconnects seem to be getting better on Vuma. Happens like 1 or 2 days every week now compared to last year. So much better but obviously still there. Hopefully both issues get fixed soon.

Some good news, based on our meeting with the DFA exco they have been making good progress.

I’m not too sure if CSGO is still hosted on MWEBs network. But yeah it was spiking between 20-30% at times. Would disappear for a couple of seconds and then immediately come back. Started around last week Wednesday or Thursday.

And here I thought it was my connection at home or PC. and when check Latency in game it still sits between 3 to 5ms and never see the latency spike in game but massive lag for a split second and then it is gone again. Will test once back in JHB to see if there is improvement

Your ping is 69 which shows packet loss which can be concluded Openserve issue high ping = congestion

We have received complains for this specific issue from other clients as well. Please note that we have reported the issue to the fibre line provider.

Just wanted to hop in and say, although I have thankfully not had cause to interact with CoolEscalator myself, I think a dedicated person to watch the forum thread and escalate urgent issues quicker was a great idea. Kudos.
