DA to weigh tie-up with ruling ANC

Give the DA national government then you can compare properly, the DA's domain is tiny compared to the ANC's.

So we can't compare eThekwini/Bloemfontein/etc to CPT then?

Everything the ANC has touched in the last 28 years has turned to absolute shyte... both figuratively and literally.

Excuse for what? Take a deep breath.
Ag jissis ...don't start with thus juvenile kak. It's tedious... Are you out of ideas already?

The DA will out govern the ANC on ANY level, as simple as that.

Lemme guess...you do not even vote, do you? Hahahaha...

If you think the DA's amount of responsibility is comparable to that of the ANC then there's nothing me and you can discuss further.

What does the amount of responsibility have to do with anything? You cannot use the popularity of the ANC as an excuse for their sh*tty governance.

They clearly want to govern as much of the country as they do, and they would govern the Western Cape if they could.
They have a lot to govern but they also have proportionally more people to get the job done.

So what you're saying is that the ANC knows how to run a municipality, a province and a country and can do it correctly and without destroying it?

And the only reason that they are NOT managing that, is because...wait for it....wait for it....:
The volume of work is too much for them.

So the DA is less responsible in CPT than the ANC is in eThekwini/Bloemfontein/etc?

Interesting, fscking stupid, but interesting.
I could understand if he was saying that certain areas are more challenging, I mean it's gotta be harder governing a poor rural area like Nongoma versus say the City of Cape Town. But it should all be relative, I mean the DA has been making a huge difference in Umgeni municipality, sure they aren't like Cape Town but it's a damn sight better than it was under the ANC.

Yeah, but its also largely why I used the metro's as example so he didn't have an opportunity to weasle out of it with "they different" type of thing.

Perhaps, but I believe the opposite is also true. People who pay for their place in society have a certain level of expectations. Not easy consistently repairing potholes and water & electrical faults within 24 hours, as we receive in Cape Town. It takes leadership and management skills, and hard work. Also saying no to corruption!

Absolutely, I mean you are never going to have the same level of service delivery everywhere. But it's the corruption and outrageous salaries and phony expenses that really screw over small municipalities.

My expectations are, if only the DA was non-socialist and forward thinking:

- every roof in CPT could have had solar by now, and no blackouts and cheap electricity
- water security could have been achieved by permanent desalination plants and new dams

This is my expectations as a tax payer, and the DA have failed at this completely. So they fixed potholes and electricity issues, meh...

If this is the only way to stop an EFF/ANC alliance what must they do?
I say let the EFF/ANC coalition happen. It will be even more entertaining than the DA/ANC one.

If only we had a parliament like the good old days instead of these stupid zoom videos.

So who would pay for all that solar equipment?

Who would pay for those desalination plants, and the insane amount of power they need?

Your expectations as a tax payer are unrealistic.

Tell you what fam.

Lets put the DA in the same position that the ANC was in 1994, where they have clear majorities in almost every single municipal, provincial government and a majority in national government and let them run the show for the next 30 years.

After then we can get a clear and fair comparison between them.
