So do you think that being anti-war means you should just surrender when another country invades?
At that time there was a civil war going on. So I took it as he is against killing his own people.

I was obviously very wrong. I can admit when I am wrong

Heard a rumor that Bakhmut may be surrounded, but struggling to get confirmation. Either way, true or not seems like big losses on both sides at the moment.

The Pantsir-S1's did undergo a software upgrade that focused on target acquisition and improved the response times to threats. Probably likely to target a frisbee now but it will be dealt with swiftly. :D

Already explained to you that you cannot improve the response time of a radar system without increasing the rotation speed of the aerial. And if you increase the speed the design of the aerial has to change due to the transmission lobes. No software can overcome that. A radar system is an integrated system that you cannot just change one part of without affecting the other parts. Those are determined in the requirement specifications.

But you chose to ignore that explanation in favour of Russian propaganda about vapourware.

Now let's rather get back to sharing the bits and pieces we all pick up along the way so we can all decide for ourselves who we support. Somebody might pick up something that nobody else has that can change the view on something so it's always best to get as much info as possible and weed out what is obviously just poor repetition of a pre-determined narrative. But only a fool would have a closed mind if somebody presents some info that may be contradictory to their established view and immediately dismisses it with hostility instead of trying to determine for themselves whether there is any merit to the story or substance to the claim.

Waffle. Present your evidence for your claims.

This is what the bs vomited by the Russian usual idiots in this thread sounds like out loud.

Literally just a script they follow.

Jeez, it's exactly the same dumb arguments you get on this forum from the Russian simps. And said over and over no matter how many times it's debunked as well. In 1 week, 1 month or 6 months time they present the same illogical argument. Like the Pantsir software upgrade that makes it a superweapon that was debunked about three weeks ago. Mooted again but again no evidence is presented.

Likely in response to them not being able to keep unprofitable wells runninng due to the price caps. Doubful that they will ever restart these without the Wests help. More money for the middle east and Murica.

But, but, but, according to the Russian simps on here, Europe can't do without Russian oil and is smuggling it in...

If he wanted to slide Ukraine toward the West more perhaps he could have done it if he used a bit more tact like don't play cancel culture with the Donbas & offer R a carrot by opening back up the Crimean water they'd dammed off but no he was all mr smarty pants with uncle sam standing behind him

So a sovereign country needs to consult its belligerent neighbour before making decisions?

I just laugh when I see the "Western Experts" analyse this situation.

From the one side of their mouth you hear "you can't trust Putin, he lied about this and that and he is a liar". But as soon as Putin says something that agrees with their propagandized little minds then all of a sudden they believe Putin. Stupid and hilarious.

So you admit Putin's word is not to be trusted then? Thanks for that.

Oh Ukraine never use schools, hospitals, apartment buildings, etc. as firing positions and ammo storage???

Using buildings no longer capable of being used for their intended purpose due to enemy action is not illegal. You omit to mention why the facilities can no longer be used for their intended purposes - Because the Russians wrecked them while they were being used for their intended purpose. But I suppose that's OK by your playbook?

The targets of this mornings strikes seem to be all focused on infrastructure and electricity supply. This will disrupt supplies to the front as well since rail is also disrupted.

Which is a war crime. But OK by your playbook?

Right at the front line next to your first line is not where you want to put these. They are better deployed to protect strategic assets. Infantry and armor can be highly mobile and if you keep them moving and don't lump them together they already negate the value of a HIMARS to large degree since it cannot accurately target a moving target. Without the targeting HIMARS is reduced to being an expensive canon.

HIMARS is not intended to engage moving targets. Calling it useless because it can't do what it was never designed to do is rather disingenuous and dishonest.
