Mine is Vumatel (Old SADV Line but was migrated I believe) definitely seems like a CISP rather than FNO problem to me too. Speeds are definitely looking better now again but still about half of max speed for me.

It is yes, my work machine, but it goes direct to internet just via forcepoints link. Funny setup I know, it's essentially proxied but should still get full speed. My other 2 machines that are only on my network do the same

Hi, As mentioned previously, we don't have a mechanism to QoS customers. If these are your issues it's basically down to an MTU thing or more than likely a packet loss thing.
 
So with Openserve advising of speed upgrades will these apply to CISP clients using Openserve connections?

This doesn't make any sense, because my line was limited to *Exactly* 1mb/s for a while, then *Exactly* 5mb/s for a while, and at that time my Steam downloads were running at 100mb/s, while speedtests were sitting at the 5mb limit while packet loss was 0.

Changing nothing, this resolved itself late last night - So it shouldn't be an MTU thing.

Issue seems to be fixed - speeds and packetloss resolved

Then it would be something else altogether limiting your thoughputs, as mentioned we dont have the ability to do so.

Which router are you using?

CISP do no QoS (throttling or prioritizing) Your issue boils down to FNO. Could be a fault on your line, Congestion in your area on the FNO, the FNO backhaul provider(s) like DFA having issues (got nothing to do with CISP).

Here is a case of backhaul provider having issues and effecting the MTU,

Anyone else having major internet issues? Getting 1mb down and 100mb up at the moment Line provider is Netstream https://www.speedtest.net/result/14329478189 I'd check for packet loss on your line. Traceroute and then perhaps run an iperf test

However CISP will do the fault finding and escalate to the FNO, then is up to the FNO and there backhaul providers to resolve the issue.

And yes, this can be hairpulling frustrating.

Back to having bad disconnects on Vuma Village. Just when I thought we were coming right, the disconnects come back.

It has/had nothing to do with my router - This is across two different lines regardless of the router (I can remotely speedtest on another router that's in my complex, also on CI. Other ISPs are not affected) - My 100/100 line was running at 5/100 and the 20/20 line was running at 5/20

It is definitely some kind of shaping (somewhere, maybe external to CI) because YouTube and Steam were running at full speed.

As of right now it's been okay for just over 24h, which is the longest it's been good so far, so I'm being cautiously optimistic that it's been resolved.

Well as mentioned it's not something we're able to control, so more than likely something else at play. On our side we have line queues which affect all traffic. So you wouldn't get a random high speed or low speed depending on destinations.

How are you performing the speedtests?

And which FNO/area is it?
