We will see sporadic small improvement spikes in the R /$ but over the long term the rand will get weaker.

For the rand to strengthen we need investment inflows and currently nothing in our economy motivate for investment.

Crumbling infrastructure, energy constrains, organized & petty crime, expensive & uneducated labor, a useless government, etc. as raised at the Mining Indaba early this month all stand in the way of investments.
