I know a lot of people that can't properly braai without burning the meat. That is on a wood fire used by real men.

Anybody can "braai" on gas though.

i disagree ...anyone can burn it on gas as well

When you go to a fancy restaurant and order that beautiful steak
It is cooked over gas

theres few restaurants who cook only on coal

Ive never to this day seen a restaurant use wood or coal to cook the meals
Besides the odd pizza oven here and there
And on that I saw over the weekend a lekker cheating Italian place in New York
They had this massive oven going lekker
But if you look to one side inside there were massive gas burners running hardcore
Hahahaa, nice one there

Yes I have been overseas and down some dodgy alleys here in Cape Town
But 99% restaurants here in RSA will cook your steak over gas

There is one in Centurion that I know of. Pepper Chair. And they make braai broodjies as well.
