[Update] Stage 6 power cuts until futher notice - 19 February 2023

It's been a while since the wheel of excuses landed on wet coal
Just did some Googling. The New Vaal mine is located in Vereeniging, Free State. The weather forecast says it's sunny all week except for a 3-hour light rain period in the late afternoon today. So beware of any BS if they continue to use such an excuse...

That’s not going to end well for him. All that moving will become exhausting.

I’d not be pleased if I was part of that family. ****. That.

Definitely an inconvenience, but it all depends on how badly one wants to leave.

Its an opencast mine and most likely a dam at the moment with all the rain in Feb. That doesn't mean that there shouldn't have been contingency plans in place though.

Everyone knew the collapse was imminent. Has always just been a matter of time. Those still trapped in SA will now enter a fight for survival.
Yeah, very true. I got hammered when I said that SA is a S*** Hole. See more & more in SA saying it. What I can say is that, if you can leave do it. I left 21 years ago & know nothing of Rolling Blackouts (Load Shedding). My friend & wife (No kids) is leaving now. There's no right or wrong here. Personal choice. I did it for a better job in the ME. Still doing it.

It's a little more than just an inconvenience. Especially with kids. It's super disruptive and not having a solid plan on immigration, is just stupid. One visa rejection away from being stuck in some country and then having to return to SA.

Stupid. Risky and unnecessary.

“Since Sunday afternoon a generating unit each at Arnot, Hendrina, Lethabo and Majuba, as well as two units at Camden Power Station have suffered breakdowns were sabotaged according to the cANCer cadre schedule and taken offline for repairs,”

The cANCer and their collective vermin are fine with this.

To have 7/8 units break at once, is highly suspicious. Has to be sabotage.

It is not doing kids any good. A friend of mine, her kid wakes up to no power, gets home after school to no power usually and then has to endure weekends of darkness. Now this week thanks to these fat fukk pigfuk cANCer rodents sit in darkness from 6-10 or 8 to midnight. The way I feel now with what is happening to this country because of them watching the cANCer elite being hung at the gallows would be very satisfying to me. That is how much I hate and vilify these self serving kunts.

Of course it is. Does not take the IQ of tha average cANCer politician to figure it out.

WET COAL!!!! VIVA!

“The New Vaal Mine that is supplying the station has been unable to deliver the expected amount of coal during the past week because of the heavy rains,” Eskom stated.

“The three running units are operating at minimum capacity and are at risk of shutdown should the coal supply constraints not be resolved.”

The cadre's way of giving the Mlungu's the middle finger ...

They run out of money for Diesel, and now the same has happened for coal. Nothing unexpected.

In terms of kids, they will be perfectly fine. Both their kids are in online schooling in Teneo and the eldest child will be in Matric only in 6 years time. At least the son can access classes, recordings and do it any time of the day without any power interruptions. So, there are advantages to them. The youngest child is already in a local US pre-primary school and will be moved to another International pre-primary school in Panama in 6 months time. The kid will likely move between the two schools for a couple of years before joining online as well.

Again, I just think it is a matter of how badly you want to leave if you can't do it in any other legal way. Not that this is way illegal or even risky. It is allowed for by the Visa they got and the countries they are entering without Visa's as long as they leave within the prescribed times.
