[Update] Stage 6 power cuts until futher notice - 19 February 2023

WET COAL!!!! VIVA!

“The New Vaal Mine that is supplying the station has been unable to deliver the expected amount of coal during the past week because of the heavy rains,” Eskom stated.

“The three running units are operating at minimum capacity and are at risk of shutdown should the coal supply constraints not be resolved.”
I had a few braais in the rain. this was never an issue

It is not doing kids any good. A friend of mine, her kid wakes up to no power, gets home after school to no power usually and then has to endure weekends of darkness. Now this week thanks to these fat fukk pigfuk cANCer rodents sit in darkness from 6-10 or 8 to midnight. The way I feel now with what is happening to this country because of them watching the cANCer elite being hung at the gallows would be very satisfying to me. That is how much I hate and vilify these self serving kunts.

Agreed. However, moving your child between schools ever 3 to 6 months is even more damaging. Moving them between countries too - where they never get to make proper friends and socialise. SA is not that bad right now that you need to subject your child to such things.

All that money you spend on traveling you can invest is backup power and never be in darkness.

But you are not running from the millions of debt he is.

So, i was under the impression the sabotage was to get andre out.

but he is leaving... why keep sabotaging? Am i missing something? are they missing something?

The fundamental problem is that power stations at Eskom are being managed in an ad-hoc and unstructured manner with no attempt at a formal process. Failures occur because basic checks aren't being done then booooooom.
There is a simple solution using checklists:

He is lucky that his online business can finance this move and he does not need to rely on employment abroad, even though he is leaving many hundreds of thousands, perhaps more than R1m in debt behind saying they can do as they please while he is gone.
Off topic, but is the debt to the government, the banks or other businesses?

If he's left a huge debt behind, then his business is not supportive of his move.

My business has twice been affected by larger businesses folding, owing large amounts of money, while the people who owned the businesses carried on with other businesses as if nothing had happened.

Disgusting.

Unfortunately that is how some Folks roll. Build a business - pull out all funds, it folds, decalare banktuptcy, start again, rinse and repeat.

Oh no, but remember his mate was "desperate" to leave and was a mindset. Screw the kids, debt and everything else.

Checklists are useless when you have criminal networks forcing breakdowns to get more contracts.

Jonathan Witt has a new take on this - Creecy, corpulent white shitlib ANC stooge, is deliberately crushing power station outputs to meet ESG limits.

What? Eskom is load-shedding today!???!!!

I understand:sneaky:

At least Steenbras is working today till 16:00. The Apartheid government did not build Steenbras hydro!

No, the Dark Green types from Mars built it as a gesture of Goodwill!

The climbed into their starship and departed.
