De Ruyter assures they are doing everything possible to avoid going over stage 8 power cuts

"De Ruyter assures they are doing everything possible to avoid going over stage 8 power cuts"

The Afrikaners have a phrase, for when something is so far gone, it's not worth saving. "Moer toe"

I am fairly sure, the quote above could be interpreted as follows.

"Ja boys, kyk, hulle het vir eskom nou mooi deur die gat getrek. Ons kan nie verby stage 8 gaan nie, want dan sit hulle die hele eskom by die mains af, trek die agterdeur toe, as dit ook nie gesteel is nie, en fokkof huis toe"

There is no after stage 8, cause that means a complete blackout / grid failure?

Clearly we need a deputy minister for each stage beyond 4 to manages the challenges in the disastrous state of the ANC..

Then they can just blame namba 8 or 10 & beyond for each slippage.

Or maybe a minister of too much rain, why haven't the geniuses thought or applied their minds to that idea?

Let's face it, not a braincell to share amongst them. It's not like this hasn't been a known issue for 20+years and still cANCer commies cannot figure out how to deal with it.

Tragic, really..

Sometimes less is more, so get rid of the 28 ministers, deputy ministers and admin staff. That alone will save about R1 Billion that can be used to fix Eskom. If you factor in all the corruption these ministers cost us each year probably much more.

Doesn't live in South Africa, under ANC misrule. He would have been an alcoholic, not a sidekick...

The f***ing dark is here, I know, cause I'm busy prepping food in a cooler box while the power is on. At 5am...

And speaking of darkest night and new dawns...

No he would not be an alcoholic and in the dark, as any sensible person would have a backup system now.

Make your own dawn...

Social media is rife with people who have been sold a "solution" which would never and could never cater to their actual requirements. Sad really.
I think he is trying to convince himself of something, one of the first signs of solar envy is to convince yourself that people who have installed solar are not really better off than you, you walk around with a vindicated look on your face when it rains, you do the same when it's stage 6.

Did I tell you I am writing my philosophy PhD thesis on the exact topic of solar envy?

Possibly. Just feel for those spending R75-150k and ending up with disappointment.

Even that should still be adequate enough, but you are right, if you thought you were going off grid for that amount you might end up surprised if you can't deal with stage 6.
