Sorry I really don't know. It seems like I'd need to spend hors on Twitter to even understand what's going on and then I still might have nothing to say. I guess I'm actually derailing your thread, my interest in this begins and ends with music. (Apologies to the usual suspects, I'm not in the mood to argue about Israels apartheid policies with you.)

Agree with you here. Music has become very sanitised. Even on the extreme end of the scale I don't see anything that is culturally dangerous on the level of say, NINs "Closer' for instance. That was a song that came out of the alternative space and was played alongside Madonna, Mariah Carey, Seal and TLC in 1995. It was so dangerous that it could not be ignored. You don't really see that anymore.

Agree with you here. Music has become very sanitised. Even on the extreme end of the scale I don't see anything that is culturally dangerous on the level of say, NINs "Closer' for instance. Yes. However i’m making a example of taking things out of context. Most kids who say they like pink floyd really only knows one or two songs or they like the prism symbol. It’s very blues ish music.

It’s normally only after someone is publicly cancelled where a group of grifters turns to that level in the debate. It’ll be crazy easy to turn Roger Waters into a really bad person publicly if they want too.

Ps I think Waters, Bono etc are brilliant entertainers, but also complete dickheads. In fact I’m pretty sure with small exceptions, such as Brian May, most musicians are insecure assholes, which is fine, because it’s these very qualities that produce the best music. Life is like that

I was at U2’s Twickeham concert and it was amazing. During Bono’s preaching session you could literally feel the entire stadium groan
