Agree with you here. Music has become very sanitised. Even on the extreme end of the scale I don't see anything that is culturally dangerous on the level of say, NINs "Closer' for instance. That was a song that came out of the alternative space and was played alongside Madonna, Mariah Carey, Seal and TLC in 1995. It was so dangerous that it could not be ignored. You don't really see that anymore.
