WRX is a shadow of what they used to be unfortunately. and if its a WRX> must be an STI or nothing. and there's no STI

Doesn't matter. It's still different, comes with more features, more fun to drive and just a better car overall...

I didn’t miss the point my G. The S3 is a better all round hatch between the two. Key term, all around.
The RS is a better drive, more personality, more exciting, attracts more gents - a true petrolhead kinda ride. All good here, and I agree with that.
But the Audi S3 is the better all around hatchback than the Megane RS. This is a statement most reasonable people can agree too.

There are so many good hatches out there to be fair.
Pound for pound, I think the 7.5 GTI is the best hot hatch. Would happily get this and drive no other hatch.
A level Above that, I think the M140i is the best. Good daily and serious performance. Special mention to the RS3 here.

what I do appreciate on this forum is that we see cars differently.
There are some here who think a car like a Fiesta ST is the way to go, while others think the Polo GTI is a no brainier.
These machines are unique in what they offer and it’s never truly easy to decide which is “best”.
We consider different things. I personally look at what a car offers besides 0-100 and how fast it can go around a track in Europe I’ll never go to (*coughs in Nurburgring*).
Each to their own ‘fellas. I tend to favour the “boring” hatches, with the exception of the M140i, which is one of my dream cars.

If I could have only one car. Probably a gti. I'm not ignorant as to why it's so successful. I don't mind "the ring time" as it's usually indicative of a cars balance and ability to soak up bumps. I couldn't care less about acceleration. I went to drags once, but went on 3 trackdays.
I did however put one of our 360 child seats in the back and it took so much space. There's just so much to consider. Blind brand loyalty and assumptions based on car origins are just so restrictive

Yeah all different opinions which is great but fact still remains, M140i is the greatest.
