Dsc Alarm internet module

Reviving this old thread because someone is moaning about us talking about it in the Olarm thread :p

So i built the esp8266 module with the Telegram bot and installed it on my DSC.

So far it works like a charm....except...

I can't disarm lol. if I do a /disarm the red lock flashes once on my panel and it remains armed. Any ideas?

This is certainly an awesome thing to play with, my next goal is to figure out which example does Homekit by default (without HA or HB) and flash it with that. But i will use Telegram for now to test it and make sure its stable etc.

Are you entering the disarm code first?

I didn't put the code into the sketch, I assume its asking for a normal panel user code to disarm :)
It helps to remember this is just a keybus interface, i.e. another way to provide input to the alarm without pressing the physical keys.

i.e. you still need to enter any security codes

Yeah i realized that.

Which makes me wonder, isn't our friend in the other thread with O actually just doing the same thing? Which then makes me wonder, why did I pay for it lol.

Most likely. I've never used olarm before so don't have any reference for that.

Okay so my old problem with panel errors is still there, but i think i'll start a new thread for that...
