He doesn't need to do anything. De Ruyter understands the universal laws of cause and effect, of action and reaction. He knows like so many others that at this point all one has to do is watch while the ANC shoot holes into their hull. We just sit and wait patiently because those universal laws cannot be avoided. At some point that great big machine will cease smoking and making grinding noises and will just stop. It is inevitable.

The Central Energy Fund has lashed out at former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter for speculating that Russia could be involved in its plans to take over soon-to-be-decommissioned plants and turn them into gas power stations.

In an interview with e.tv's Annika Larsen, broadcast on Tuesday night, De Ruyter cautioned that he was "going into the realm of speculation", with "no evidence", when he spoke about the repercussions of a visit by Russian minister of energy Nikolay Shulginov to SA late last year. This was in the context of the decreased flow of Russian gas to Europe due to a variety of factors in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine.

It was specifically about the Russian involvement in the gas power plans. He didn't say he is speculating wildly in terms of the corruption, stealing and the ANC feeding frenzy at Eskom. But yes, I bet that is the gas with the gas power plants as well.

If you google "Andre de Ruyter and speculation", it would be good if you read the article first before posting a reference.

Ah, the ANC cyber-struggle-activist lets the façade slip momentarily so we can see what his true motivations are!
 
For now, we need fast power added to the grid so the current fleet can be properly fixed. The eventual graduation to green energy completely will be a decade or two. Nuclear takes 10-15 years, at a massive cost (500+ billion). Coal is dying, and we saw how well this crop of buffoons did at building Kusile and Medupi. Karpowerships? R200 billion for 2000mw? Renewable solar/wind it's more 500-800mw for around 1-3bil.

There is no way out of this except fast additional power to the grid, and people doing the same to get off the grid.
