Atleast you'll have power and nice roads. IF the Saudis join BRICS like they've been hinting and yuan takes on the dollar as the medium of exchange for oil then who's to say.

A Chinese or Russian navy base in Dbn or CT in exchange for infrastructure ain't such a bad deal in the long run

With estimated stage 11, it should be interesting. It you're bring your foreign currency to SA atleast things will be super cheap

Nah, I don't think you get how it will work..

The Russians or the Chinese don't give 2 flying fscks about the local populace, they will wade in, take as much as they can and give as little as possible in return. You may have a nice road for a few months until it falls apart, etc etc.

Mate of mine was here in Jan...Took him about a week to say he cant wait to leave again...
Even with cheap beer and braais..

Well you have a high chance of getting killed on the road, raped, murdered or be a victim of hate crime. Just make sure your will is in place and you have death insurance to take care of family and all should be good.

I get stressed having to go visit my family in Richards Bay. I know 80% chance I might not return back home to my wife.

Yep, same with my mates. They usually get gatvol of taxi drivers first, then load shedding and then remember why they left in the first place.

That's rough. One of the more eye opening moments myself and the Mrs had was at a school function where one lady said her daughter was in tears when she got home because all of her friends are leaving SA and wanted to know why they can't leave.
