Yeah, Mangosteens are like plums in that each one is either going to be amazing or terrible. I haven't been able to get them to grow in SA, so it may be a signLongan and jackfruit is amazing. Not particularly a big fan of Mangosteen.
I like all things anonna's.

Anonna squamosa (Sugar apple)
Anonna cherimola and jette (cherimoya)
Anonna deliciosa (Rollinia)
Anonna reticulata - slight hint of red and orange... Came from madagascar.
