Introducing the four crime cartels that have brought Eskom and South Africa to their knees

They definitely don't use "legal" cash. This is a vast money laundering operation. That cash comes from criminal activities. Drugs, illicit tobacco, alcohol and most possibly cash in-transit heists.
Not always, what I have observed is that a "legitimate" business that gets paid for tender work, legitimately "withdraws"( from what I suspect, it may be SBV or something similar ) massive amounts of cash, which are then distributed in creative ways, to a bunch of officials and enablers

Yes, fair enough. There are many large companies that use cash for wages.

I'll say it again.

If South Africans put the same level of ingenuity and industriousness into legitimate enterprise as they do into criminal activity, they would be a world economic superpower.

Nice read, unfortunately just sensational fiction until actual evidence is presented.

I don't dispute that this, and worse, may indeed be the case but it achieves nothing unless there is actual proof and prosecutions.
You mean like the Zondo Commission, where despite proof, evidence and other facts allowing prosecution, nothing has happened to kill the cause of the demise of this country. The genetically criminal masses in this country will ensure that nothing excepting a miracle can save this country. It is riddled with corruption at every single level of society.

It's enough to make one weep.

Like I said a while ago, I have first hand knowledge of a part of what goes on, in terms of bribing government officials.

The thing I still don't understand is how or why is it so easy for large amounts of cash to be readily available for distribution. I'm talking millions here.

I don't know what the mechanism is to "legally" lay your hands on these amounts of cash, but if that link in the chain was taken away, it would make tracing the culprits that much easier.
But for the man on the street he has to jump through a host of FICA BS so he can open a bank account to have his paltry salary paid into it.

The big response to all these "criminal reveals", is actually just a big "so what?"

Folks, we had a billion rand inquiry, where proof was handed over on hundreds of "networks", individuals and criminal actions.

Number of orange overalls, anyone?

This is all just for show. The "law enforcement" we have in this country, are the actual criminals and gatekeepers. Nothing will come of this save for one or two token sacrifices, and more solar installations until the problem goes away.

Another african success story.
Exactly. This is why most people have lost hope in this country. The evil is so deep and so pervasive that, short of a crusade to clean out the satanskinders, tomorrow and next year and next decade will be exactly the same.

Yep,
I have said this before,
All my opinions of course.
The ANC are the judge and jury. They own the police and the majority of the legal system. They can do as they please. Who is going to stop them?. They are literally the mafia now. They control and run everything. (Luckily everything they "run"they run pretty badly including organised crime)

People believe they "can" get voted out and call me crazy when I laugh at them. They can and will never be voted out. They won't allow this, one way or the other.
The Military is the only way (And who knows how captured they are). But up until someone with real man power takes a real stand against them. Everything that comes out against them will be sand in the wind. The whole ANC needs to be removed and placed under "investigation". Every single one of them. Trying to patch patch fix this issue won't work. They are simply too powerful.
This

I am curious now,

Also, for the moment, we were told, very firmly, that we could not quote from the intelligence reports until we were given the green light.

The reason for this was simple: our sources, former state intelligence operatives who were now working for the private sector, are still active in the field.

which entity is doing the investigation, and who appointed them to do the investigation, and whether any intelligence is being shared with state intelligence or the police?

The ANC and the whole government needs to be removed by force. That's the only way, but South Africa in 2023 as it is, is the the product of putting not only communists in charge to run a government, but also terrorists.

so when does MYBB/Daily maverick get shut down for subverting the state?

This is excellent work by the Daily Maverick, and although it may not be their own intelligence report they are willing to put it into the public domain backing up the claims made by De Ruyter when he is under scrutiny. This is unlike some other media outlet which implied by editorial choice through other people's opinions that De Ruyter's story is bullschit.
