They do. They just live in a gated HOA and pay someone to sort it out. That being said, here are some days where going and shovelling garbage sounds like a peaceful and productive activity compared to dealing with a committee of Karens in an HOA.

Some communities even make it a core part of their identity, but progressives get their gender neutral panties in a knot about it.

HAHA. While I type feverishly on keyboard, I have personally reported potholes issue to local councillor and while she is prompt in forwarding it to JRA, nothing really gets done.

Some of us really thought of pooling money and fix a small stretch of road but apparently, COJ will take action against you if you do it. Even the councillor advised us against fixing potholes ourselves. It is fine to clean up area etc but not potholes.
