South Africa faces ‘civil war’ conditions due to possibility of power grid collapse

Dont be jealous.
im not jealous, if anything people should be downgrading not buying more stupid U v's
when Fuel stations run out of fuel, will you sleep in the car in a Giant traffic Jam just to fill up your car, to drive to work?

I mean look to our Neighbours in ZIM, some of them sleep in their cars just to get fuel for their car.
its on the cards for SA, and driving a Big thirsty SUV wont look like such a great idea soon enough.

Didn't really help the majority of South Africans though
As bad as it was on a social standing (Apartheid). Even they had working clinics, roads, transport and the likes. Things that are a basic right in a functioning society. I'm pretty sure, some if not most are already saying "Things were better under apartheid"

No they are not saying things were better under Apartheid, but anyway.
Yes what we have now is terrible, but we can't say things were better under Apartheid.

Data suggests otherwise.

I am 100% sure if I was to google it now, I will find at least 2 quotes of people of colour quoting that exact same sentence. Want to wager?

I'm sure if you googled Michael Jackson wore a tutu you'd find that as well. I'm sure there are POC of who say it as well, but at the end of the day Apartheid was cruel and inhuman, hence why the ANC can keep using it to keep the voters at bay.
Sure the ANC has squandered and screwed up everything and we're showing for it now, but the Apartheid way wasn't the best, it might've been fine for 10% of the population and it might've started to improve for the majority towards it's end, but just because infrastructure was better, we can't say it was better during.

Was it really just infrastructure tho?

The same people say criminals have taken over it was safer for them & their children..

Not to climb on the apartheid sympathiser bandwagon but the government at the time did keep basic infrastructure running with a much lower staff count. This includes less black and white people producing the same electrical power we have today.

You can be completely against a corrupt regime without promoting the racist actions of another.

Edit: 2 co-workers already told me they had better lives and livelihoods under those segregation laws. Which just shows how severely terrible this government is in running this country.
