Woke Disney’s year of enduring box office bombs, subscriber losses and layoffs

Strawmanning and dodging questions. Do the kids get the innuendo? Watch it with kids and see for yourself.

How is that different to a gay kiss in Lightyear? To kids it's just a kiss.

You expect kids to ask why two women are kissing but not what Farquad is compensating for, especially since it's a repeated phrase throughout the movie?

Every Friday you went to the movie house, was this in the 60s or 70s
Did not know they made that many movies back then to have a new release every week

Don’t know about Friday’s, but the Sat morning matinee was a big deal in the 60’s and 70’s, at least up to mid 70. That was before TV in SA.

Was a major social thing where you met up with school friends. I have vivid memories of being in the headmasters office on many a Monday morning because of all the s###t we got up to on the Sat

Do kids understand the innuendo? I can see you don't.

Do kids understand why it's wrong for snowflakes to get triggered by cartoons? I doubt they do.

I haven't stopped my kids from watching Shrek - plenty of parents, even here on MyBB, have stopped their kids from watching Lightyear.

"Let that sink in."

Is this innuendo?

That's crap, and not Disney either. You hit your head or something?

Oh ok. You were asking me about Shrek, not Disney, also about innuendo.

It's ok if you don't know.

Does only Disney do innuendo?

  • I asked which Disney films escape the criteria.
  • You posted a parody site saying Disney obtained Shrek.
  • I said it's not Disney, but it still has its own "problems" any way
  • We were debating people's perceptions of the problems and how they deal with it, the moral weighting and the fact that there are still adult themes in kids movies
  • You share Velma, which also has nothing to do with Disney.

Is everything animated simply Disney to you?

All cartoons are the same to me.

I'm just amazed at how many supposed adults here watch so many cartoons and are so invested in who their personas should be.

I mean we have "anti-woke" warriors fretting over cartoon characters.

Shouldn't you guys get off the Disney channel and make sure that you have enough ammo and stuff for the civil war you've been praying for?

And why can't adults enjoy cartoons? Animated movies and shows are meant to be enjoyed by everyone, not just kids.

Animated movies are far better than all that Marvel/DC crap.

They can watch whatever they like. It just seems a bit weird that it's all about corrupting the kids then.

May we watch Disney if we have that covered?

Asking for a friend of course.
