The Courier Guy's Pudo locker delivery service tested

I have heard of some dodgy things happening at Pudo lockers, collect and open the locker to see someone else’s parcel or it’s empty and your parcel is missino. Probably not the best option for more expensive goods but otherwise it generally works well and is well priced.

The PC version of PUDO is difficult to use. Got as far as the destination details and the page would not proceed. No assistance at all. Sent them an email and they simply sent it back with no information. Tried this 3 times and eventually sent the parcel with Postnet

I've been using them now for 2 years. Their waybill numbers on the Pudo app runs incrementally.

I just sent out two parcels and the difference between my two waybill numbers is just over 100 in the space of 5 minutes which means they are getting over 20 bookings every minute.

At a minimum of R50 per booking that comes to over R1 000 per minute in revenue.

I've even done bookings after 10pm and even then there's a difference of 5 per minute

Lockers never been looted?

I use the Pudo locker on the hotel stoep of our very small plattelandse dorpie that is far from civilisation. It is the best thing since solar power. It works efficiently, is very fast, even considering where we are and is cheap. Congratulations Courier Guy!

Lockers never been looted?
Most of my deliveries are locker to door and I drop off the parcel at the local kiosk so it's never in an actual locker.

I've had one brocken jar of honey, one honeycomb punnet that leaked in transit. Other than that, no issues. I think my total spent with them is going on R10k.

I even couriered a few full frames of honeycomb with no issues.

What is the local kiosk?

What is the local kiosk?
It's a local branch of The Courier Guy. There are a few of them all over the country.

They act as a locker drop off and pickup point for Pudo. Obviously they are limited to office hours, Monday to Saturday whereas some lockers are available 24/7.
