Not sure who else is following this. Seems insane that he is being cancelled for what he said. Summary of the situation. A survey was run asking if its OK to be white amoung black people in the USA. 26% said no. In response to that group Scott Adams, author of Dilbert, said those 26% where part of a hate group. For this he has been cancelled. All his income is gone, all newspapers are dropping him, his book publisher has dropped him. Its insane.

So its OK for 26% of people to say its not OK to be white, implying what, that white people should just run off a cliff they are so bad? He rightly calls that hate and advises people to stay away from black people. He gets cancelled. Has the world gone nuts? The double standards are staggering. Imagine if white people voted by 26% to say its not OK to be black. The country would be on fire in days.

Not defending the cancel culture, but he said "whites should get away from black people".
The context might have gone missing but that is one way to get a good reaction.
"I would say, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black people," Mr Adams said, "because there is no fixing this."

I’ve also been watching this on Twitter, it’s taken out of context and people are flipping their lid. This is no surprise. Scott also should’ve just known better but it’s very difficult to walk on thin ice all the time without eventually cracking and falling through….

He is the very definition of why it's "not okay to be white" - people that get fixated on race as a form of identity or judging people simply based on race are not healthy. The poll was also very unclear on why it's okay and not okay "to be white" - people interpret the question differently and have different experiences. Instead of finding out more, he immediately, as an individual, goes on a rant how he won't help black people any more, black people are a hate group, he always thought of black people as a "winning team", i mean wtf?

That kind of bias is always there, it just took a poll to make him snap and unleash it. And it's true for anyone of any race, if you are fixated and sensitive about race, you need to get to know more people.

There might be individuals doing that.

For example here on Mybb there are users who defends institutionalized racism. They even call it "positive" and "necessary" to discriminated against, in this case, white people.

But not all South Africans are retarded like that.

I don't follow him much. Vaguely remember seeing a news article about him being anti-semetic or something so assuming its about that? The little I know about him turns me off him. A bit too arrogant for my tastes. Seems to think he is the greatest human to ever walk the earth based on most quotes I have seen from him.

Why tf would anyone under any circumstances say it's not ok to be white? What would make the poll clearer so that it's acceptable to vote that way?

You don't choose your race, but you do get to choose how much your "race" means to you. There was another poll after that one, asking if black people could also be racist and it seems the majority thought anyone could be racist, which is why such a simplified poll was never going to get meaningful responses.

Any poll saying its not OK to be any colour, race, or culture is racist in my opinion and anyone who answers yes to ANY question of that nature is racist by definition in my books. This was my point. If a white person says its not OK to be black anyone would be OK to call that racism but if a black person says its not OK to be white its not racism somehow? That is the part I don't get. I do think his comment saying stay away from all black people was unnecessary, and not a good way to improve the situation but to essentially cancel him for that??? Anyways, I still read Dilbert and will continue to do so.
