Russo-Ukrainian War - 2022 Edition - Part 8

It's true, Ukraine have historically not been terribly good at preventing larger neighbouring powers from subjecting them. But they never just sit down quietly and let themselves be ruled over. There's always been a resistance of some kind. Part of that has not worked out terribly well, for example many Ukrainians in the west collaborated with the Nazis because they thought they might help liberate them from the Soviet Union (which wasn't a terribly enjoyable experience for Ukraine), turns out history kind of frowns on working with the Nazis, and in the end the Germans didn't treat them terribly well either. Any people's history has ugly parts like this.
I have studied some eastern front military history and it goes way further than that with a few authors I have read and lectures I attended. When the Germans arrived many Ukrainians welcomed them with flowers in the streets thinking better the Germans than the Russians. When the Germans treated them as badly or worse than the Russian's many of them took to the woods and started resistance operations at a level unseen just about anywhere else in the war with the possible exception of some Japanese resistance on the island campaigns. The Germans had almost 25% of their eastern front forces tied up suppressing and hunting Ukrainian resistance it got so bad. This was right when operation Bagration started so their front was arguably 25% weaker than it could have been. Bagration was a breakout success for Russia and resulted in the encirclement and destruction of army group center. It was a massive reversal for the Germans and was the beginning of the end for the Eastern Front. They just could nor replace that many men. It all would not have happened if the Ukrainians did not resist as fiercely as they did. Never underestimate Ukrainian resistance is the lesson I took from it all.

If Hitler was able to buddy up with Ukraine and treat them well, instead of 25% of his force tied up with Guerilla's he could have had battalions of Ukrainians helping him fight the Russians. The whole war could have gone differently. The Racism of the Nazi party towards Slavs though could not allow that and hence it became the straw that proverbially broke the camels back in the East. Thank goodness Hitler was so narrow minded. Alexander the great was a good example of someone that set out to conquor like Hitler, but figured out how to respect local cultures and integrate them into an empire without destroying their identity. He treated many vanquished foes with respect and honour and respected the cultures he took. Its why he was able to get an empire as large as he did (not that I am a big fan of conquerors, just respect the intelligence of the man in how he made it work).

For the tankies in here, seems more BMPT Terminators were deployed to Ukraine as well as the T-14's are now deployed. Also heard that some Polish Leopards are near Bakhmut and supposedly one was captured with Polish crew, but I suspect that may be a bit of disinfo. I do believe that the Leo's are near Bahkmut though so we should soon see how effective they are in the muddy soil currently being experienced.

On a serious note, do you believe the stuff you post or it's just a means to end?

Software updates to track specific targets are normal. A great example was the balloon fiasco in the US were a software update that removed speed and altitude limits scrambled more fighters on smaller balloons.

Oh my gosh! Are you trying to suggest that racism and prejudice is actually harmful?

What kind of thinking is that?

On a more serious note, nice insight.

How far is that software upgrade, is it completed?
I don't know, you tell me how many ammo dumps and fuel stockpiles have been hit with HIMARS lately? It seems very quiet on the HIMARS front other than it occasionally hitting a residential building here and there. Still baffles me how gullible some people are when all you could hear about was how HIMARS has turned the battle and all the successes they have had then suddenly nothing, nada. Just absolute quiet and no major successes from HIMARS anymore. It couldn't be that the Ruskies found a way to stop it around critical strat points??? Could it??? It couldn't be that they have improved the software could it???

Do you not understand English?????? Or are your handlers losing it?????? Read my statement, I even called it likely disinfo or should I spell it out for you? Disinfo = dis-information, fake news, BS, propaganda, etc. Whatever you want to call it. I didn't say it is true, I just said what I heard and then qualified it that I don't really believe it. Numpty!!!

So cute... which residential buildings have been hit by HIMARS in the last little while?

Seems that the Russians run out of ammo dumps and fuel stockpiles... ask the ones attacking Vuhledar and Wagner

Nowadays Ukraine has to aim deep inside of Russia to find fuel stockpiles and that is not for HIMARS

Russian propaganda flows directly through your eyes and ears, straight down on to your keyboard.

Literal BS.

Do you not understand English??????
I clearly understood.
Or are your handlers losing it??????
Some people don't need handlers to form opinions or see right and wrong. Thought I'd mention that.

Of course isn't that how peddlers try to validate their opinion? You stated Polish crewed (dismissed this as likely disinfo) Leo tanks were spotted in Bakhmut (but validated this without evidence). Are you playing mind games or?

A numpty who refuses to drink the Kremlin laced kool aid.
