Elon Musk defends racist tirade by Dilbert creator Scott Adams

Lest we forget things like this.

Every other races in the US thinks it's important to be their respective race, while everyone tells whitey it's verboten to think that.

Food for thought.

What Would you be in the USA

Are people not cancelling things regardless? Peter Pan trailer dropped last night and people are already shitting themselves coz the cast is mixed.
Just chill, everybody's gonna be beige except lineage of cosmik, vrot, hunter and the usuals.

Yes, protect one dumb guy's views instead of the millions of people he just depersonalized and holds a grudge against based on skin alone.
If the vast majority of blacks regard their racial identity group as being very important to them, why can one not refer to them as that collective group.

Most blacks in the US feel at least somewhat connected to all blacks as a group.

He is the very definition of why it's "not okay to be white" - people that get fixated on race as a form of identity or judging people simply based on race are not healthy. The poll was also very unclear on why it's okay and not okay "to be white" - people interpret the question differently and have different experiences. Instead of finding out more, he immediately, as an individual, goes on a rant how he won't help black people any more, black people are a hate group, he always thought of black people as a "winning team", i mean wtf?

That kind of bias is always there, it just took a poll to make him snap and unleash it. And it's true for anyone of any race, if you are fixated and sensitive about race, you need to get to know more people.
It's should always be okay to be in whatever skin you're in without qualification. It doesn't really matter what justification people answering the poll can find for saying it is not. Anything else is bigoted.

Coming back to Adams. Having had a look through the live YouTube vids he made where he touched on Rasmussen polls amongst other topics. He has this view where questions and material are put out by people, media and algorithms to evoke emotions, and also brings up racism as a popular response. His broad view is that people are being brainwashed, which is a basis on which he based his arguments.

Regardless, what he said has been said, and the result is now the crux. It was also called upon in his own comments sections, to cancel him, and he elaborated about it in his next video. He can't walk it back; he expects people to be on level with his thoughts process, and I will tell him that no person can have it that way unless the process is imposed.

My opinion is simple: Adams should have known better, everything you say with or without context will be open to interpretation. Into the bin he went.

Maybe I'm jaded, but I think they're idiots as well. Maybe they have a sense of community through black media, a common struggle, growing up in similar neighborhoods, but if they're associating simply based on race, it's idiotic in my opinion.

Elon is increasingly a twat. A good businessman but still a twat. The man should stick to what he is good at, business, and leave politics out of it. And he should really really get off twitter.
100% agreed, he should stick to his strengths.

Edit: Made my comments a separate post as per guidlines. Apologies.

Not sure who else is following this. Seems insane that he is being cancelled for what he said. Summary of the situation. A survey was run asking if its OK to be white amoung black people in the USA. 26% said no. In response to that group Scott Adams, author of Dilbert, said those 26% where part of a hate group. For this he has been cancelled. All his income is gone, all newspapers are dropping him, his book publisher has dropped him. Its insane.

So its OK for 26% of people to say its not OK to be white, implying what, that white people should just run off a cliff they are so bad? He rightly calls that hate and advises people to stay away from black people. He gets cancelled. Has the world gone nuts? The double standards are staggering. Imagine if white people voted by 26% to say its not OK to be black. The country would be on fire in days.
This guy is an idiot. He should have just stuck to his office humour cartoon. He chose to make inane comments. Rather if you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing.

You can't change mindsets if they have to keep everything inside or only get to talk freely with even more extreme groups instead.

Is Elon wrong. Where's the articles shtting on blackness.
Imagine if these articles had blackness instead of whiteness in their titles. The blood-curdling screams of "Racism!" would be deafening.

As far as I read, below is what he said. Source

Do you agree with him?
“Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from Black people,” Adams said on his Wednesday show.

“But you should also avoid any group that doesn’t respect you, even if there are people within the group who are fine,” Adams said.

But whether you think it's stupid or not means nothing when you've been arguing how people shouldn't refer to all blacks as a singular group.
Why not, when the majority of blacks THINK of themselves as somewhat of a singular group.

Do I agree with him? No. However I do not think he deserves to have his career cancelled because of the opinion he offered. That is a very strong action that destroys the ability to even have a reasonable conversation on the topic as if you slip up even a tiny bit as a white guy you will suddenly find yourself unemployable. I do not think his response deserved what happened. While I do not necessarily agree with what he said I also do see where he comes from. Solving racism is unlikely with more racism. It is likely with open and honest discussion. If this is how you treat someone who says anything you don't like then the conversation will very quickly be over which is a worse outcome as when discourse ends discord starts in most instances. As Winston Churchill said "Jaw Jaw is better than War-War."
