Tesla wants to offer unlimited EV electricity for R546 per month

Tesla Inc. is planning to offer unlimited overnight home charging in Texas for $30 a month in a move that echoes the transformation in mobile phone billing.

While Tesla isn’t alone in contemplating such a plan, the automaker’s announcement Wednesday during its investor day underscores a pivot in home charging.

$30/R546 per month fixed fee for fuel to travel is insanely cheap.
And no RAF.

I pay 4x that for my 50km daily work commute.

Power traders have long opined that electricity could become so cheap that profits will be driven more by selling the services rather than the megawatts themselves.
Why even report this as it's not even remotely applicable in the South African context?

Is this a type of wireless charging provisioned directly from Starlink satellites by focused beaming?

Articles like this makes me feels like SA is sliding into the 4th world countries...
Very much so, the level of regression we are seeing is shocking & yet the numbskulls in charge want smart cities & kark when you/we cannot even get the core fundamentals right.

The level of delusion by those in charge is truly unreal.

Yup. It’s crazy to think how quickly we’ve gone backwards.

Going to the UK in July for a visit again. Will be reminded how a proper 1st world country is run.

"Electricity on the state’s grid is often very cheap at night, when wind power tends to be robust, sometimes creating a scenario in which supply exceeds demand." - what a nice "problem" to have.
