Usually false-flag stuff is as a provocation, so that you can blame the other side for dirty dealings and go in harder.

But I can't say that I see much reason for Russia to do that at this stage. Not this kind.

Unless it's internal partisan kind of stuff, Russians fighting the good fight against the Kremlin by sabotaging stuff. No rumours of that though, as far as I can see.

No thats not how it works, different coloured tape bands represent different units/army groups. Blue, yellow and green are commonly used.

Usually it will be for the ends of either subduing the local population, or to get the local population to endorse and support some sort of action.

I suppose it would all depend on what they define as a gas station and electrical substation.
If by "gas station" they mean a gas handling and transfer station and electrical substation being a major switching station, then I could buy it as being a Ukrainian raid.
If they mean a Gas Station, as in a petrol station like you and I would use and an electrical substation being a residential level switching station, then I would lean way more towards a false flag operation.

I know why you would stage a false flag but as you say i also see no reason for that, anyway the Russian volunteer group seemed to have dispelled the false flag thing and confirmed its truth.

I think at this point we can rule out the whole false flag thing.

Yeah except this Russian Volunteer Group seems as fake as all hell...

Especially that first one, with the oke who is so old he can barely stand let alone trek that far and involve himself in military activities like that.

No they exist as a group for sure, they first started around 6-9 months ago and have been providing updates ever since.

Billionaire Deripaska Warns Russia May Run Out of Money in 2024​


Billionaire Oleg Deripaska said Russia could find its coffers empty already next year and needs investment from “friendly” countries to break the hold of sanctions on the economy.

“There will be no money already next year,” Deripaska said Thursday at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum in Siberia. “We will need foreign investors.”

Funds are now running low and “that’s why they’ve already begun to shake us down,” said Deripaska, founder of United Co, Rusal International PJSC, the biggest aluminium producer outside China.
