There are five volumes of a *Republican* Senate report detailing Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Robert Mueller indicted 37 individuals. There were 6 guilty pleas. Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen were found guilty and sent to prison, and, but for a presidential pardon, Roger Stone would have done time too.

Still, good for you for not allowing hard, verifiable, documented fact to get in the way of your precious illusions.

My Ukrainian is limited at best but I've got a native speaker sitting next to me. It's not even a hit list, it's just an angry dude saying why he's angry with people who have voiced opinions that might be slightly out-of-line with what he thinks is the truth.

It's about as official for Ukraine as the bull**** that MyBB forumites post on this website is official South Africa policy.

Anyway... Something bad must have happened on the RU Telegram channels this evening 'cos the axis of asshats in this thread have been REEEing so loudly they can be heard in space.
 
I find something of a strange phenomenon happening here.

It's not as though Ukraine's conduct has been above reproach. There are some things that they've done during the course of the war that have made me raise my eyebrows. BUT - I've got the leisure of sitting in front of my laptop very far away from danger, I'm not the one in the hotseat. So we expect some mistakes to be made.

There just seems to be a completely different standard applied though - Russian army can rape, pillage, blow up blocks of flats, no one bats an eye. One random Ukrainian puts an American journalist's name on his list, then it's the end of the ****ing world and clearly evidence that Russia is right to invade or something like that.

It reminds me almost of South African political discourse, everyone is so used to the ANC being awful but the DA is held to a different standard, when the bushes at the side of the road don't get trimmed quickly enough then we all jump up and say how horrible the DA is.

Around these parts some of us have been dealing with this disingenuous, bad faith hypocrisy for years now... As you mention, the local politics threads are full of it; the Trump-ie threads were avalanches of the BS, and the Ukraine thread is no different.

I'll be shocked if you don't find the perpetrators in this thread guilty of the same in other threads... It's just the nature of their trolling.
