What's the best way to sell stuff online and get the payment? What are you suggestions and what should I avoid? Is doing instant EFT safe? Can it be cancelled?

Carbonite but still exercise caution, look at the buyers history.

I've sold stuff on Gumtree before but strictly cash and meet in person at a safe place.

I have sold in person too. Any advice if someone wants to instant EFT payment?

It always depends what you wanna sell, I use gumtree and facebook marketplace but you bet you bottom dollar I will know more about you and where you work before you come round etc.

CASH is always king always count it etc.

Community whatsapp for sale groups also work nicely

Instant EFT is very very tricky some banks place a one hour hold on a payment so you either sit and wait or take cash. or just say same bank or sorry

i sell on BoB .very safe , you only release or ship once bob confirms payment and you can clear it .they have onboard couriers .but there are fees involved

I also prefer Bidorbuy because of these reasons. Fb marketplace and Gumtree is littered with scams.

Instant EFT is fine. Just don’t rely on a payment confirmation. If you cannot see the money in your account, consider it non-existent
as noted this can locked for an hour its really a pain and to be avoided rather.

I will give it a try on Bidorbuy. Never used it. But concept seems better

Pretty much this, although to me it depends on what I'm selling. I'm pretty paranoid about who I sell to, but selling tech on there has always drawn the wrong crowd.

Agreed phones and laptops are easy for scammers, they always send a fake proof of payment and then say driver is on his way to collect.

Carbonite is the best
Cash crusaders also but you will get half retail value although no risk
Facebook Market place - But join your areas classifieds groups often buy has friends in common so makes it a bit safer

Carbonite is the best. If the person you are dealing with has 100% rep with more than 10 different reviews you are good to go on any form of payment in my experience. If I deal with someone that has 25+ positive reviews I don't even think twice about the legitimacy of the deal. Literally have never had a single issue with something I have bought off Carbonite.

Just send the drivers to random addresses. My favorites are the house’s opposite police stations
