Elon Musk defends racist tirade by Dilbert creator Scott Adams

You meant goad I assume.
Journalists are idiots themselves in many cases. And no that's not the purpose of surveys.
So tell me what the real purpose of this survey was then.
Only then will you get to the truth.

I'll bet that the overwhelming majority of people who answered this poll incorrectly are Democrat voters.
Given that a higher percentage of black people lean towards Democratic probably each category contained more black Democratic voters.

Please see the results of my poll, 100% of respondants think Kieppie is a conservative lunatic..
According to my research conservative lunatic is a tautology in 90% of cases.

The world has become an extremely fragile space......

Insane.
But since when though? When were religious conservatives not fragile snowflakes? In fact social conservatives in general regardless of whether they’re left or right.

I’ve also been watching this on Twitter, it’s taken out of context and people are flipping their lid. This is no surprise. Scott also should’ve just known better but it’s very difficult to walk on thin ice all the time without eventually cracking and falling through….
Same as the JK Rowling thing, she said she doesn't like trans people taking place in sports for women as its unfair, now she is transphobic.
The scary thing is in the 2000s, things seemed to slowly be getting better, then this overall sensitive society popped up and now race relations are set back

You made a general statement about surveys, which was factually incorrect.

This one just gives a sneak peak at the rot that's festering in their society. Spurred on, ironically, by journalists so you were nearly there.

Ah man that’s a whole other jar of pickles.
There’s no winning in these types of discussions. Various groups are actively looking to be offended as its easy pickings and helps them push their own agenda.

It’s agreeable in that sense what Scott is saying, avoid these hate groups because it serves no purpose associating with them in any form. You can’t win. So stay away and let them slowly atrophy in their own hatred.

It seems to have come out of a generation in developed countries that haven’t had any real adversity to deal with, so they’ve effectively manufactured causes out of thin air. Hence we seem to have developed people who get offended on behalf of others, like that ridiculous fuss over a white woman wearing a kimono. As far as I can tell Japanese people didn’t understand what the fuss was about. Recently I saw a story about people hurling abuse at a white woman for wearing a sari. That sari was given to her by someone in India. In both cases it was white people getting offended on behalf of another group that they’ve decided is oppressed and needs their help. Strange to me that they can’t see how offensive it is to tell another group that they’re helpless and need a saviour. Then we have the people who have formed into little identity cliques and declared themselves oppressed. In the case of girls who are once again being taught how helpless they are or that they must be boys this naturally angers feminists who fought against rigidly defined roles and an attitude of helplessness.

Honestly the results of the poll that started all this were pretty disgusting.

The idea that anyone could say that it's not OK to be the way you were born is just unbelievable, let alone such a large portion of the population.

They still don't understand the fuss, probably shaking their heads going baka gaijin. She actually got a Japanese cultural expert explaining the ins and outs of komonos and that it's actually the opposite of insulting, the more people that wear them following the customs the better.

Forgot to add to this that you should see the nonsense people spouted online with regards to her game that was released.
The one postive is that it exposed all the crazies out there while simultaneously providing normal people with endless laughs.
It also served as a good litmus test as to which outlets you should value. If a site reviewed the game and went and a tangent about JK and her "problematic" views then it's best that one avoids said publication in future.

Oh and the game breaking records showed that these crazies are luckily in the minority so despite their amplified voices on social media they can safely be ignored.

Exactly.
Ironically I think there more people being offended by "cancel culture" than there is being cancelled or doing the cancelling. Storm in a tea cup, or maybe more storm in a tea party!

No that's incorrect. Anyone who believes this has a fundamental misunderstanding of the problem.
It's actually a massive problem, but what Hogwarts show is that the perceived mob are not actually as large as society fears

Nice to hear but that did not stop almost every newspaper cancelling Dilbert and removing them from their pages, and his book publisher cutting ties. People are so afraid of the woke brigade despite their numbers that you can lose your income very quickly if you fall foul of them.

Precisely my point.

People and companies are so afraid of this perceived boogeyman that it impacts their behaviour, policies and decisions. Those same news outlets are some of the biggest perpetrators perpetuating and exasperating this problem.
Companies rely too much on their HR & PR staff who believe nonsense because they live in the "twitter world". Combine this to the cancerous identity politics that have infected many that came from tertiary education in the last few years.
I'm pretty sure most here have had to sit through nonsense seminars covering one or more of these aspects in recent years, all because some HR person attended a seminar by some grifter or read that this is the newest thing.

We need the silent majority to start standing up and telling people to kindly F off.

Agreed. I would honestly encourage anyone who subscribes to any of the papers that cancelled Dilbert if you feel it was going too far cancel you subscription or stop browsing there and state the reason as being that Dilbert was removed. Show the News industry that the majority thinks its an overreaction pandering to the few.

This honestly seems to be the only constructive way to move forward for those of us who are sane and reasonable.
Don't waste your time and energy kicking up a fuss.
Simply cancel subscriptions, stop purchasing, provide reasons why if the option is available (ensuring it's not emotionally charged) and move on with life, nothing more nothing less.

BBC:
In the video, Mr Adams, who is white, said black Americans were part of a "hate group" and white people should "get the hell away" from them.
I don't think he said that at all.

He was referring to the 26% specifically... those blacks who disagreed it is ok to be white.

Typical BBC, lying to the world on taxpayer funds.

Quote the full rant.

The BBC rant?

I'm quoting the part that is false.... because it is false.

There should be no false reporting by any journalist or reporter worth their salt.

Nothing else in the same article, they say, can explain away the falsity except to admit it is a falsity, but then why wouldn't you just remove it?

That is a small piece of the overall rant. And why the poll?

That is a small piece of the overall rant.
So, according to the poll, 1 out of every 2 members of a group expressed intolerance towards a specific race.

Scott said that is a hate group. 1 out of every 2 members.

Not sure where that comes from. To me using this term 'hate group' is evidence of getting caught up in the fomenting of Left-Right agitation/animosity.

And why the poll?
Well, now that is a good question. Even better is why that specific question?
