Liverpool FC supporters thread - 2017/18 Season

What was surprising to me is we were afraid to tackle. Like they were scared and ended up being static. All of them, when they up the pitch they tackle, but when they went back and had numbers behind the ball, they just stood. And it was a team thing, very similar to Newcastle game. It’s like they scared of tackling as they will get dribbled past.

Maybe Klopp pushing for the players to hug their opponents rather than tackle.

Are we going to hear that JK saw some really pleasing things and it’s something to build on?

No pace on our passes, *uck all movement. No wonder we struggle to pass the ball forward. What are we trying to do in possession? There is no apparent strategy or structure, we are really poor at progressing the ball through midfield. I lost the amount of times that Hendo had to turn upfield and instead just went backwards. Our midfield overhaul needs more than just legs.

Monotonous, predictable pattern of play that is more stale than last weeks bread.

He's my favourite player in the Klopp era.

Genuine legend too.

It's worth mentioning that Bobby Firmino is 18th in Liverpool's all time top goal scorers, ahead of Keegan, Toshack, Suarez and Torres.

Just one goal away from equalling John Barnes.

Will leave a Liverpool legend

this teams era is coming to an end - felt a bit like it with sadio but the sense of mourning with bobby is just startling...feels like it came so quickly but his been here 8 years already...going to miss that impossibly white toothed broad smile...

the last thing we need now is the boss leaving...although there is media about it everyday...

as the sun sets on this teams era we look forward to the dawn of the next...

and the patience it will need again...

I saw Fab, Henderson, Elliott in the lineup and expected more of the same. Glad they proved me wrong from the start. Although both teams did not pass well in the first half.

United were on a low and us on a high going to OT and the expectations then was a thrashing for them. They steered it around and had an excellent season so far, and we found ourselves constantly slipping.
