Nah this is still using our wacs capacity, it looks like the additional latency happened on the Telia network
Is that something that can be corrected - since it's still at 190ms - or is it outside your network?

I will have a look, but it seems to be outside our network. Usually a longhaul link down somewhere and typically corrects itself.

@PBCool

Thanks for sorting out the routing issue with Amazon yesterday.

Just wanted to clarify something with regards to the transit, is everything that you don't peer with supposed to to go via DD now ?

And do they only use Seacom as I see overall latency seems to have increased to UK based routes.

I just want to set my SDWAN correct as it moves traffic over to LTE backup because latency is better over LTE ever since DD is back

Yes and no, we use LINX currently for nationwide traffic but outbound will be via DD from JHB for now, we are either going to move everything to Cape Town internationally to benefit from wacs latency or we will move back to layer2 to London.

Currently traffic out of JHB gets loadbalanced across wacs and seacom back to the UK.

We have our network catchup meeting tomorrow so can advise from there.

Still the same, getting far beyond a joke now. This on 100/100

I have had ongoing issues since December.

Speedtest to a local server
Can't rely on an speedtest server that is on the other side of Earth
I am on 1Gbps on Afrihost and this is what I get:

Will have a look into the Apex thing as it seems to be the major issue, is this only happening to JHB customers or CPT customers as well?
Hi did you get a chance to check this out?

@PBCool Are you guys having international traffic or DNS related issues? Twitch, reddit & discord aren't loading on your network but work 100% on mobile data. Also when I enable WARP everything works

Hmm, seems to work fine for me at home. Can you perhaps provide an mtr, or traceroute?

Does reddit/twitch just sit there hanging? What does your browser report ?

Yep, both reddit & twitch just hang and never load but discord seems ok now. Also, speedtest.net is having similar issues but the text elements of the page do load but nothing else.

Here's a traceroutes for all (WARP disabled):

Tracing route to reddit.com [151.101.65.140]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.2.1
2 4 ms 4 ms 4 ms u3h-cust.coolideas.co.za [154.0.0.125]
3 4 ms 4 ms 4 ms 100.99.1.225
4 4 ms 4 ms 4 ms 100.99.1.251
5 5 ms 4 ms 4 ms fastly.ixp.joburg [196.60.8.13]
6 4 ms 4 ms 5 ms 151.101.65.140

Trace complete.

Tracing route to twitch.tv [151.101.2.167]

Trace complete.

Tracing route to speedtest.net [151.101.194.219]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.2.1
2 4 ms 4 ms 4 ms 154.0.0.125

6 4 ms 4 ms 4 ms 151.101.194.219

Trace complete.

I've also tried Google DNS, Quad9 & Cloudflare DNS but to no avail.
Like I said, when I enable WARP everything works 100%
