14 ministers in 14 years

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Mondli Gungubele as South Africa's new communication minister, replacing Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, who has been in the role since 2021.

Ntshavheni will take over Gungubele's role in the Presidency as the minister overseeing state security and other portfolios the president may require.

They should all be tried in court at the same time.

Collective responsibility for the shambles ... it is the way forward.

That must be another 14 millionaires over 14 years...

The one more useless than their previous predecessor...

At least they've got the piggies to line up for their chance at the trough. Either that or they end up killing each other to jump the queue

What are they trying to say?

I didn't realise Ntshavheni had actually done so much. Then again, I also didn't realise she was our communications minister. Goes to show the bad memories stick a lot easier than the good ones, and how little the communications minister matters now that the industry is mostly privatised.

Hopefully she does the same for the SSA that she did in her short tenure as communications minister.

Just about sums it up

As with any politician, there is much to disagree with and criticise Ntshavheni for, but she achieved in under two years what 10 predecessors couldn’t do in a decade.
Glad to see that one politician actually did some work :)

Auctioning off spectrum at those prices was big achievement and at the last minute

She's moved away from a ministry that she'd run fairly well, yet the twat in the hat stays in his portfolio.
Says quite a lot about our president's thinking.

He holds a BCom Law and has a diploma in nursing.
Well his nursing diploma will stand him in good stead.
He'll have to nurse the whole process along.
