Partly correct. Making them from scratch is definitely it, I should have not shaped them before smashing it, which I did on the cast iron skillet. Can post a lot of other videos from chefs as well.^ Time for Burgers you mean? ... making patties from scratch isn't SMASH at all.

If you don't make your patties from scratch, how do you do it then.

Doing some pastrami today
Picked up beautiful C Grade grass fed meat from Mondenette.
Been pickling for the last 1.5 weeks
Those who know what C Grade is - its the GOOD stuff. Its from an older animal that is not a bad thing its a more intense flavor not poor quality.
The smoker might be massively overkill size today cause this is it fully loaded but dont care haven't smoked in a while usually do a number of large cuts which vac seal and freeze beautifully just felt like doing something!

Turned out very well, been busy with moving this weekend. This was Friday nights chicken with baby potatoes done in a potjie on the fire. Green beans with garlic and onion on the side with some couscous.
Last night at my place, buddy had to bring his braai because my braai table guy I think is a scam
Not too sure when I'll braai again, my credit card is weeping from the move and the braai table rip off, so we may remain braailess for a while
