Strikers at Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein armed with sjamboks as frazzled, terrified doctors warn that patients will die

Human rights are being trampled in SA, and yet it is reigned in as our Constitional cornerstones, or so the lawmakers and ConCourt would say. Does the DOH have anything to add, is the SAHRC looking into this, Ramaphosa? Not a peep.

The union is in control, not the state, not its organs, not its institutions. In the case this results in death, then the union is undisputedly a death squad.

Just shows that nobody here adheres to their mandate. The police came short here. Those strikers are armed, a weapon is a weapon. This is domestic terrorism.

Send in the army, shoot the fukking savages. Fukk these dumb kunts. But the cANCer won't do much about it. It is after all their voter base. Like I've said so many times Cele is a weak spineless coward.
That's how you have another Sharpville but the government aint bout that bitch!

Ya well government is saying they got no money to pay the staff yet they keep extending the grant for covid and adding ministers.

They keep stealing at the top they make working conditions horrible.

When your union tries to get you an increase they say no. Then they say they can't afford a contractual increase they lose one year.

Then they want to steal your pension.

Then when you go on strike the hospitals are functioning normal because health is essential services and cannot strike.

There is only one way and it's the only way the government will respond.

Everyone else getting paid while you fighting for an increasing with no work no pay which ALL tiers of staff will enjoy if successful.

I'm not saying it's right what they doing .... but I understand

And yes I've been involved in many industrial actions. Even got taken out of the pharmacy at gun point once.

what are they striking about? Go burn Lootfreely. That is where the problem sits.

They striking for an increase. This particular union wants 10% (they know that they not going to get 10%) government is offering 3% and taking away their gratuity bonus which was like a R1000.

Government defaulted on the previous agreement with chambers. They also wanted the GEPF to bail eskom out in 2020

They also want access to portion of their pensions not a loan to repay the GEPF.

There's alot they striking for. It's gonna get bad

NEHAWU is the single biggest COSATU affiliate.

COSATU is a member of the tripartite alliance that is running this country in to the ground.

These thugs have gotten what they deserve. I have no sympathy for them as I have zero sympathy for any person that enables the ruling government via a vote, membership or through an alliance.

They must take their sjamboks to Luthuli House and COSATU House.

Which union keeps putting the ANC in power?

But if this is dealt with in the way it needs to be then suddenly there are cries of oppression and accusations of apartheid style policing. It's almost as if certain things were done in certain ways in the past out of sheer necessity.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That is the way of the left and why DA can also not save SA

It is more important to highlight racism and the oppressed state of students etc than to tackle situations like this head on!

Maybe they should change the name of the hospital - give those criminals and terrorists some dignity whilst said terrorists abuse the constitutional rights of the sick?

What the actual F!

The fact that there is a person in a hospital with no purpose there, is the first problem, the fact that he is holding a sjambok is beyond me.

The Police should have booted his ass out of there the minute he got in there..

Waka-Waka!

Just shoot them.

Perfectly said, if only we had proper leadership.
Shoot them in the head and refuse to provide them with medical attentions.
FTFY

when can community step in and do the police work if they fail?
Look what happened in Durban during the riots.

People who defended their property were quickly chased after by the police after the ruling Bantoids made a big story about how it was racist that blacks were shot.

The same police that were catching fat sleeps during the riots.
