Only someone who already found happiness with money says this.

Take the money away and suddenly the love doesn’t do Jack **** because it disappeared in the hard times.

I do feel the statement should be reversed though; a lack of money buys unhappiness rather.
This is a good way to put it.

Lack of (enough) money most likely results in increased levels of unhappiness. The converse isn't necessarily true

If money can`t buy you hapiness, all it means is that you have a deprro brain problem or you are too dumb to know how to have fun. Go learn from Hugh Hefner.

Tbf, some people can fake being happy.

A lot of those teenage couples that post on social media about how much they love each other are actually miserable. Generally, the more they need to post (for validation obviously), the more unhappy they are.

If you have an inferiority complex, it is not possible to be happy.

money buys happiness only up to a point, at a certain point, what is a Million Rand more, what is another BMW, what is another mansion?
somebody once said to me a man can only sleep in one Bed, drive 1 car, wear one suit, every Rand more than that makes little difference to ones happiness.

all it does mean is usually more problems, more debt, more people hounding you, more responsibilities.

There be a lot of truth in that, that many do not understand.

Bottom 2 layers relate to wealth and that it is an enabler for happiness and content.

However, if you do it the other way around, you will be rich but miserable..

I don't know man. When I'm sad I game, during loadshedding (thanks inverter), order takeaway and wash it down with a beer. Mood eventually comes around

Lets see what currently makes me unhappy
work Stress = Money can fix this
Overworked = Money can fix this
Finding ways to pay all my bills = Money can fix this
Car giving constant issues = Money can fix this
Stressing about my parents not being able to afford medical aid and both close to 70 = Money can fix this
Several roof leaks = Money can fix this
I can go on, But everything that is currently making me unhappy, Money can fix.

So ja, Money probably cannot buy happiness, As Happiness is a state of mind (A choice if you will). But reaching this point you need money.

Anyone saying the contrary has money and are unhappy with their lives in general. Please show me someone who is poor and happy (and being the breadwinner, Not talking about the 30 year old staying and leeching on his parents)
But hey, If anyone wants to prove me wrong, DM me and transfer me a few million and lets do an experiment, I will happily nominate myself as your test subject :-D
