Strikers at Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein armed with sjamboks as frazzled, terrified doctors warn that patients will die

Hence my comment about acting within the ambit of the law. Saffers should stop being afraid to act against these criminals, as long as you are acting within the prescriptions of the law. I am not saying everyone should be playing cowboys and crooks but, if you have the means and brainpower to arm yourself and act correctly, you have the means to enforce the law in your immediate vicinity.

The point is these striking terrorists, who are obviously educated, don't give a damn for the lives of patients - why would you think a criminal would feel anything for your life?
That's exactly what we did during Durban looting only to be rewarded with harassing officials targeting the law abiding citizens and are no where when the kriminals are running wild. No thanks, there is no law in this place.

Depends if they're intelligent enough, I use the k-word in absolute rage myself but it takes a special kind of stupid to post it or say it in public, or around people that don't deserve it. Think screaming "****" in the middle of a sunday church service.

Words and songs are just sounds without intentions behind them - if I resort to the worst slurs imaginable it's to scare a criminal shitless, not because it's my overall attitude towards people.

In this instance they probably got the song on B side tape of the protesting greatest hits, alongside dancing and burning things to solve a problem. And I do feel angry myself, not because I believe they're intentionally malicious, but they're a waste of a human being that had all this potential and talent and they're using it for **** like this.

And I get to say, "I told you this would happen".

I agree with you there but in the end, many of the communities that stood up to those terrorists during the riots remained fairly unscathed. My wife has even had a big change of heart regarding firearms and the need to own one so we can protect ourselves and most importantly, our kid, from any threats.

Sure, just make your area a no go area for police.

NEHAWU reported that they have been invited back to the negotiations table today. They are in control.

Of course. Appeasement just leads to further demands and reinforces the behaviour that led to appeasement.

Lol I like the way you guys think medicine is some noble trade where people must work for below their worth simply because they public health staff

Medicine is a job like any other job. Make no mistake if it wasn't illegal for Drs and pharmacists to strike they would've walked out.

If anybody dies here it's the department of health fault for not renumerating their professional staff properly. You okes have no idea how health staff are abused.

They can increase minimum wage by 9% but they can't pay their health sector staff properly? Keep in mind when you work for this pathetic government you doing 4 peoples job everyday as all the posts are frozen. These nurses are 2 to 4 in a ward during a shift .... that's 3 nurses in a 26 bed ward that's at capacity....

This happens everywhere have you guys forgotten the NHS strike in the UK?

Health staff are not a charity.... they never will be.

Correct. But there are ethics of behaviour. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath?

Remember, it could perhaps save your skin if you preface it like this:

"Your Honour, if I resort to the worst slurs imaginable it's to scare a criminal shitless, not because it's my overall attitude towards people."

Just explain to me why is 3% not enough.
The private sector is 3% the norm if you are lucky, in some instances there just is not money for any increases and if you dont like it you can move on.
As a way below inflation increase it's not possible to keep your standard of living.

Having said that, this is a state facility, and the state is essentially out of money now thanks to the ANC. Eventually public salaries have to suffer. The quicker these people realise that you can't strike for money that isn't there the better.

If they really want to improve their lives they need to vote for someone else.

Oh yes. Better to have a firearm and not need it than to not have a firearm and need it.

I honestly don't give a **** enough to have to justify myself to others, especially the law.

I disagree with you. Nursing is a calling. The fact that the ANC have populated our hospitals and clinics with completely unsuitable wakas is their own goal.
That said, they ought to be paid a fair wage, and have good working conditions. They deserve at least that for being nurses.
