JOHANNESBURG - Sibongile Mani, a Walter Sisulu University (WSU) student who was convicted for theft after R14 million was erroneously transferred to her student bank account, is in the news again.

This time, she intends to run for the treasurer's position in the university's Convocation committee. WSU's Convocation assists the institution and the WSU foundation in raising funds

The problem is that it's not just her.. Tweet above

But this is the standard our leaders set.

Some media supported her,

though the above is advocacy, don't be surprised to see this turn out as a redemption tale. It is more a question, say she gets the position, what will she do with it? One can only hope that lessons have been learned. Squandering this won’t be a good story to tell, but she has an opportunity to show that people can be better.

6 year student too. waste of taxpayers money. Just kick the the bitch out of studies already and make the country overall a better place without her thieving corrupt ass draining the economy. She's not going to be getting a job handling money in the real world with her "accounting" qualifications either.

At least she hasn't popped out any spawn yet (hopefully).

34, still at "uni", and single mother of 2. Oldest kid almost old enough to go to uni too.

FML. A total leech on society.
