Do you want a free VPS? - Always free - from Oracle

I am struggling with sonarr, I have installed sonarr using the snap command, when I try to add a root folder I cant see view some folders. I am guessing it's a permission issue but for the life of me I can't seem to solve this,

I ran the command "ls - al", I don't see a sonarr as I can only see Radarr with full permissions.

Please can someone help me.

I get the following error "path: folder is not writable by user root"

Yes I am running sonarr as root, I only have root as a user though I never create any other user

Yes that is why I use swizzin as a whole. It sorts all the permissions out and run all the apps as users but adds the user to root group so you sudo commands that need be.

Are you using arm64 as the cpu or amd64? I am going to spin up a new server and install swizzin and see how it plays with just root as the default, radarr was working perfectly fine

Yes it works well on arm.

I installed swizzin and ran it with a different user, it's working like charm, I added a root folder for sonarr and radarr thanks @cavedog @Speedster much appreciated

Anyone been able to get Playlists from iTunes onto Plex hosted on Oracle?
I have a onedrive mounted and entire iTunes folder synced in Plex (it messed up playlists though)

Now trying various github scripts to convert Win based m3u playlists to linux with correct paths to music etc, it then connects to plex and the correct library as it removes any playlist in there already, says all ok but nothing ever appears.

I'm using Plexamp, I currently have an iTunes library on my Dell that im syncing to but want to rather have it in the cloud as my Dell isnt on 24/7.
Also Plexamp syncs faster from the Oracle Plex Music library, if I could just get the playlists from iTunes on there, bingo.

This worked on my Dell no issues.

Edit: finally got it working, my iTunes and Playlists are on Oracle plex now and streaming well.

I am so irritated with login issues, I have not been able to reset my password - and it is not accepting the one that I know I used. I am not getting the password reset emails to my gmail account - well I did get it once only but it is not accepting that new password.

Also tried to create a ZA account under the company name / email and my credit card. They took the money but did not provision the account. Emails to the company addresses for verification are not coming through timeously or at all as well.

Why are you paying for a free service?

That nominal amount of under a Euro... using Lightsail at the moment and need to move locally. EC2 is a bit pricey.

Noticed now in testing that my Lightsail instance does not allow sending of emails (they override the opening of the email ports apparently), should I expect the ports to be blocked on OracleCloud as well?

When did you signup?

Accounts aren't always created directly after. You need to wait for the email to say the account is created.

Gmail account with no recovery - setup last year May? Work account & email - on the 2nd this month. I know there are issues creating new accounts but I cannot get a password reset on my gmail account.

Seems I have a memory leak or something. Had to do a hard reboot. How can I check after the fact?

EDIT: Maybe it was just a glitch

Is there a script or anything to deliberately make it appear that the VPS is "doing something"? Oracle have started reclaiming unused VPS machines, althouth none of my instances have been terminated, they have been shut off, and one of those instances was my main JHB instance.

Anyone chance you can post a tutorial on how to get those official broadcaster urls to work?
shouldn't need a tutorial, one just needs to know where to find them, and then set up a VPS in the country of the broadcaster. I use a combination of NextPVR & Zerotier on those VPS machines which allows me to access the stream URLS in a plain M3U format within a private WAN type environment. I have blocked the NextPVR port on those machines so the whole of China can't watch those streams, as at this point the offical broadcaster streams are no longer geo blocked, and will work anywhere. So NextPVR needs to be blocked. They then are fed to my main JHB nextPVR instance which handles the EPG. In some instances, the UK channels are fed via another VPS in JHB, which connects to a UK VPN. This seems to work faster.

Actually works quite nicely..

Set up q-bittorrent and let it run a few torrents. Or use it as a DNS sinkhole with adguard home
