Looks like his attempt to spray the drone with fuel missed and went for a go around and got too close.
Is that structural damage after the second pass?
It probability also lost some of its tail as well.Yes the second pass is where it collided with the drone.
there is no collision shown in that videoYes the second pass is where it collided with the drone.
The reaper has a satellite uplink pointing upwards so it may be the body of the aircraft causing enough interference to break the connection. Think along the lines of DSTV and a thunderstorm.
So the Russians have resorted to the theft of aircraft downed in the sea.
I guess they had to up their game from stealing washing machines.
I guess it's open season now. Perhaps someone should go fetch the Russian warship (now submarine) Moskva, out of the water
convenient isn't it ... almost as if the video was tampered with
Anyone noticing the similarity here?
US confirms spy objects from China in thair airspace -> Russia claims (i'm sure falsely) the Drone had the transponder turned off and was in their airspace.
US shoots down the spy balloons -> Russia takes down the drone.
US recovers the spy Balloons for research to help us stay more secure -> Russia says she's going to salvage the drone from the Black Sea
This is just a tit-for-tat between terrorist buddies Putin and Xi. They should spend their time on something more constructive.
Yep.Yeah except this didnt even happen in Russian airspace but rather international.
they state it crossed into territory that's been communicated from the outset as off-limits and too close to their military installationsSo the Russians have resorted to the theft of aircraft downed in the sea

wrong, Russia claims Crimea and Russia defined up front where it draws the line in the skies given that it is war timeYep.
It must have some salvage valueWhy would anyone want to fetch such rubbish out of the ocean?
It will be average housing for the low income fish.
Yep.
It must have some salvage value

So the Russians think they can just declare and make things up as they go along.they state it crossed into territory that's been communicated from the outset as off-limits and too close to their military installations
It's someone else's property lying in international waters. Not theirs to steal.so ... the Russians destroyed an invading enemy military aircraft, what they do with the wreck is nobody else's business
Ukraine - is not Russian territory.would you also like to moan about the many US artillery systems and humvee's they've captured in Ukraine? it's a war zone, military equipment represent primary targets
