They will probably announce lower stages for the weekend later today. The sudden change in the increase in availability is strange since they have been "struggling" so much.
If one were a conspiracy theorist, one would say this has something to do with trying to embarrass De Ruyter and showing that the issue was actually him and nothing else like the corruption and theft.

Now you guys can up your celebrations.

Even ESP is celebrating.

Why he's been gone 3 1/2 weeks and in that time we've had stage 6 and 5

"Oh Eskom you are so good to us, we love you!" - stage 2 reaction

Monday comes - back to stage 4...

Realisation of we shouldn't be going through this **** never kicks in anymore

Wonder if this is in relation to the national shutdown?
Maybe we should have one every weekend.

So people can't seem to grasp how the stages work, I mean I know we've not had lower then 4 for sometime. But what did they think the 2 was in stage 2?

Nope they've not run the OCGTs for quite sometime by the looks of the graphs
They not the most ethical, transparent bunch of hard working individuals though... So can anything they say be trusted?

We actually have no idea how things are going

My best guess is they're probably running diesel for this afternoon, planning to have lower demand until Wednesday morning, especially with factories and such.

A lot of people took leave, and I guess others might be scared to open based on the EFF. I suspect higher stages, come Wednesday.

Why would they run diesel if they can make the demand with stage 2 shedding? Or why would they run diesel if they could just remain at stage 3?

It's just a guess based on the past. If they don't need to run now, then that's awesome. Saves some diesel for winter
