The people are most happy to not pay rates & taxes, and to live in squalor. They might not have opportunities, but there’s nothing stopping them from taking pride and cleaning up themselves. The poor man’s mentality of expecting other people to fix their problems will forever be their demise, and abused in order to get their votes.

Agreed, anyone with some self respect would clean up around their own shacks. And I have seen shacks where people are keeping it clean and tidy around their own living spaces. Its just a pitty that they are so few and far between.
