Most popular web browsers in South Africa

Google Chrome is the most popular web browser in South Africa, with a market share of over 70%.

This is according to GlobalStats Statcounter data for device-independent market share, which shows that the next most popular is Apple's Safari browser, which has a market share of just over 13%.

Am I the only Brave soul out there?
I'm back on Brave, after a few months on Edge while Brave sorted out their issue where WhatsApp Web would randomly stop working after a few days. I just find their iOS mobile browser very finicky. Sometimes I'll type a word into the address bar, and it will jumble the letters up. So 'mybroadband' ends up as 'ymbroadband' or mbyroadband'.

The macOS version seems to be fine though, no complaints there.

Android, followed by iOS, then everything else.

Team Firefox checking in (mobile and desktop).

I'm surprised more people aren't using Brave. It's essentially Chrome (I get that it is a memory hog - but no issues if you have 8Gb or more memory), but without the bloat. Includes built in privacy tools, removes all ads, including from YT and as from about 2 or 3 years ago, has been remarkably stable.

Built-in Tor is nice.
